Kjær & Richter appoints new leadership team

Kjær & Richter has appointed a new leadership team as part of a generational transition designed to secure the studio’s long-term development while strengthening its architectural profile as an independent brand within the group.

The Aarhus-based architecture studio has appointed four new Associate Partners: Malene Drasbek, Liv Bach Henriksen, Jonas Hjortshøj Sørensen and Kent Hedegaard Bladt. Together, they will assume responsibility for the firm’s administrative and professional leadership.

After 25 years at the helm, partners Peter Sand and Ole Madsen are handing over day-to-day management to the next generation. Both will continue as partners, remaining actively involved in projects and business development. The transition reflects a shared ambition to preserve and further develop Kjær & Richter’s architectural DNA and legacy.

Kent Hedegaard Bladt continues as Studio Director with overall responsibility for daily operations, while Jonas Hjortshøj Sørensen remains Head of Department in Copenhagen. Malene Drasbek and Liv Bach Henriksen will lead the studio’s architectural direction and, together with Jonas Hjortshøj Sørensen, play an active role in projects, competitions and acquisition.

All four Associate Partners have been part of Kjær & Richter for many years and have held key leadership roles within their respective fields. Building on the studio’s strong architectural identity and internal culture, they will jointly lead the firm through what marks the fourth generational transition since Kjær & Richter was founded in 1954.
